The Queensland Branch of the Concrete Institute of Australia wish to invite you to join them in celebrating the 2017 Queensland Excellence Awards to take place on Thursday 24th August at the United Service Club, Brisbane. This year the 2017 Awards for Excellence evening will be a cocktail style party and will provide guests with a fantastic opportunity to network with some of the best and brightest in the concrete industry whilst enjoying the sumptuous food and drinks on offer at the United Service Club in Brisbane. 

The Institute is very pleased to announce that Ken Jacobs, Deputy Chief Engineer (Structures) Engineering & Technology, Department of Transport and Main Roads will be presenting the keynote address.  Ken will discuss some of the challenges involved with managing TMR’s concrete bridge inventory along with outlining future trends.

Dress Code: The United Service Club kindly requests neat casual, business or formal attire - no hi-vis work wear please.

Every two years, the Concrete Institute of Australia recognises excellence in the development of concrete technology and practice in Australia at its Biennial National Conference. The Biennial Awards Scheme was established to not only recognise the many significant contributions to the development of concrete technology and practice in Australia, but to foster improvements in the standard of concrete construction and to publicise the many excellent examples of concrete structures erected in Australia.
