Overview

Mr Mike Schneider, Immediate Past President of the American Concrete Institute and Senior Vice President and Chief People Officer at Baker Concrete Constructions is our key note presenter.
 
With over 30 years’ experience in the concrete construction industry Mike is an active member of the American Society of Concrete Contractors, has served on numerous ACI committees and in 2005 was named as one of the ten most influential people in the concrete industry.
 
Mike will present on some of the more interesting concrete construction projects that Baker Concrete Constructions has been involved in recently, the challenges they have experienced, and how they have overcome them to construct innovative buildings and infrastructure in the USA.
 
Following the presentation, there will be a forum of industry experts, including Mike Schneider, who will field questions and discuss the topic “The Key to Successful Concrete Construction Projects”. The panellists will represent three of the major players in any construction project – the consultant, the concrete supplier, and the contractor.

This event is a fantastic opportunity for anyone in the concrete construction industry in NSW to come and hear from one of the worlds leading practitioners, and to take part in a discussion and forum with 3 leading experts in the fields of consulting, construction and supply.

Key Note Speaker, Mr Mike Schneider, will present on some of the more interesting concrete construction projects that Baker Concrete Constructions has been involved in recently, the challenges they have experienced, and how they have overcome them to construct innovative buildings and infrastructure in the USA.

Mike is Immediate Past President of the American Concrete Institute and Senior Vice President and Chief People Officer at Baker Concrete Constructions and has
 over 30 years’ experience in the concrete construction industry. Mike has served on numerous ACI committees and in 2005 was named as one of the ten most influential people in the concrete industry. He is also the current Chairman of the National Steering Committee for the Construction Industry Management Program (CIM) in the USA and has been active in the American Society of Concrete Contractors (ASCC) for the past 18 years, where he served as President during 2005 and 2006. 

FORUM: The Key To Successful Concrete Construction Projects


Mike Schneider will be joined by Dr Daksh Baweja (BG&E Materials) and Mr David Hocking (Boral Concrete) for a Q&A and forum discussion on what is the key to a successful concrete construction project. Our panel of experts will represent the concrete construction, consulting, and supply industries respectively and will be able to answer questions from delegates and participate in an open discussion.
