Overview
The School of Engineering at UTS has opened its doors to the Concrete Institute of Australia, our members, and most importantly, the students, to join us in learning more about advances in cement and concrete technology at the UTS and how this can be applied.
This seminar will focus on what university research can achieve for industry and how it can be at the forefront of advances in concrete technology. There will also be a presentation highlighting current work being undertaken at the UTS by a PhD student, followed by a former UTS PhD concrete student who has forged a successful career in the commercial sector of the industry.
The seminar will be of great value to all involved in concrete market segments, and will be vital to those who wish to keep up with new and emerging developments in the industry. The evening also reinforces the links between industry and academia, which is critical for the education of Australia’s up and coming civil engineers.
