Standards

The Institute’s Standards Committee is responsible for the identification of relevant issues and the development of the Institute’s policies, in relation to Australian Standards. The primary objective of the Committee is to ensure that the Institute’s Members have an opportunity to be heard and represented in the development of Australian Standards. The Committee is also responsible for the management of the institute’s involvement with Standards Australia Committees on which the Institute is represented.
 
The Institute’s Standards Committee is directed by the Institute’s ‘Governance Procedures – for Standards Australia Committees’.
The policies and operations of the Standards Committee are approved by the Council of the Institute.

The Convenor of the Standards Committee is further supported by the Institute's Nominated Representatives and corresponding Reference Group Members.
