Technical and Publications
The Technical and Publications Committee is responsible for the identification of Member and industry needs in relation to technical information; and the development and delivery of appropriate technical publications. The Committee approves and provides funding for the formatting, editing, printing and distribution of publications. Development of content for publications is undertaken by various Member volunteer committees and task groups.
Publications may be delivered online or in hard copy format to Members and the industry. Hard copies of publications may be distributed directly via the Institute or through a distribution arrangement with SAI Global.
The policies and operations of the Technical and Publications Committee are approved by the Council of the Institute.
The Technical and Publications Convenor is supported through the Chairs of the various Technical Groups of the Institute and those involved on the Technical Group Committees who are responsible for the development of Institute publications.
Z17 - TREMIE CONCRETE FOR DEEP FOUNDATIONS
The Concrete Institute has launched the the newest addition to our series of Recommended Practice Guides. As the title suggests, the first edition of Tremie Concrete for Deep Foundations provides guidance for those involved in the preparation of specifications for the use of tremie concrete in the field of construction of cast in place foundations, in particular for bored piles and diaphragm walls.
