Three experienced practitioners will provide insights into concrete finished covering new technologies; considerations to achieve a high quality off form finish; and practical considerations for finishing concrete.
A new and novel technique for creating intricate patterns on the formed surface of concrete will be presented.  The technology behind graphic concrete, its application and case studies will be described.
Off form architectural finished to concrete requires all parties in the supply chain to work together to achieve a quality output. Insights into the issue to consider when specifying and producing high quality off form finished will be provided by an industry expert in formwork.
A speaker from Master Concreters will discuss the considerations in finishing concrete and issues to consider to mitigate defects.
This seminar will be suitable for architects, engineers, materials suppliers and contractors.

Specification of Architectural Concrete and Implementation On Site 
This presentation will focus on the importance of architects and all parties involved in the construction process to work closely together to achieve best possible results for architectural concrete. The presentation will also give an overview of various formwork choices and show international standards and guidelines that are available for the execution of architectural concrete.

Placing and Finishing High Quality Concrete Pavements
Chris will discuss the basic processes undertaken when installing a concrete pavement. The presentation will cover site preparation, formwork construction, concrete delivery into forms, spreading, compacting and levelling fresh concrete, early age protection from severe ambient conditions, floating and trowelling processes, curing and installing joints.
Chris will explain the importance of timing of each stage of construction and the importance of planning so that all participants - concrete and materials suppliers, pumping operators, form workers, steel fixers and concreters are experienced and fully aware of their responsibilities.
He will illustrate his presentation with various case studies that show practices and situations to avoid as well as the best ways to achieve a successful outcome.
