Overview

Our September event will be the showcase event of the year!

In September the Institute's Victoria Branch will hold our highly popular annual student beam competition at Swinburne University.

In addition to our feature technical presentations in the main lecture theatre, the evening will include tradeshow exhibitions to give you the opportunity to mingle and network with the major players in the construction industry.

Our Keynote Speaker John Hilton, Global Service Leader Bridges & Civil Structures, Aurecon, will present on AS5100.8 which involves repair, rehabilitation and FRP strenghthening.

The student beam competition will put the analytical skills of engineering students from universities across Victoria to the test. You will witness live load testing of the specimen to failure on site in Swinburne’s Advanced Technologies Centre.
