Thursday, 27 September 2018
5:00 PM - 8:00 PM

PNR 1 Theatre
Peter Nicol Russell Building Maze Cres, Eastern Uni Grounds, DARLINGTON University of Sydney NSW 2008

Concrete, a mixture of course and fine grained aggregate, along with water and a setting binder, has long  been used to build civilizations.  Today, concrete is the most widely used building material in the world and many Technological and Practical changes continue to be introduced to the production and installation of concrete so that it remains the benchmark in construction.

For this event, we have two speakers, David McDonald from BG&E Engineers and Eamonn Madden from Partridge well versed in these subjects.

As an adjunct to this, under–grad and post–grad students will be offering short presentations on their research projects currently underway in our Universities. Their brief – how does their research meet challenges in the concrete industry! They will be competing against each other in a Concrete Pitch Competition! Come and see what you, as design and/or on site practitioners may be dealing with in 10 years time.  Deadline for Student Sumissions is extended to Wednesday 12 September.

We also have a number of sponsorship opportunities available with display tables on offer at this function with the opportunity to meet with delegates, interact with the students, and network with industry; please contact Ian Parker [email protected] for details.

Institute Student Members can attend for FREE - Full-time students only with proof of enrolment.
