Concrete mix design is a science.  Any quality pre-mix concrete poured on site, or mixed for precast concrete elements is a result of a well designed process to ensure that it is fit for purpose.  However, science is ever evolving and concrete is no different.  New or different testing methods, raw materials, processes and designs mean concrete is continually being scrutinised.

The Institute is pleased to offer its Members an opportunity to see how this occurs at one of Australia's leading suppliers.  Boral is opening up the doors to its Materials Technical Services Laboratory for Members of the CIA in NSW to learn how and why concrete is tested under a strict quality controlled process.

Numbers on the tour are strictly limited to 30 people.  Don't miss out on your opportunity to see first-hand how construction materials are tested by the Boral Materials Technical Services Laboratory.
