Topics

The course covers challenges confronted by designers, contractors, subcontractors, suppliers and site supervisors when designing, supplying and utilising concrete. While the course is primarily aimed at graduates and engineers with less than 4 years industry experience, more experienced engineers may also benefit from a refresher on the basics of this critical construction material.

The guest lecturers, who present the course, are some of the most experienced  and qualified people in the concrete industry in Western Australia. They have a huge collective practical concrete experience between them. The course provides the basic information on concrete technology needed by engineers to design, specify and ensure quality concrete.

The course will be split into two session with ample time allowed for questions and networking at the end of each session.

Session One - 19th September 2019:
Materials used in Concrete,
Concrete manufacture and supply
Concrete Testing and Quality Control

Session Two - 3rd October 2019:
