Overview

General Information on Boral's new Concrete Plant

The previous Boral operation was located at 61 Lindsay Street, Invermay which is approximately 300m to the south of the new site. The Lindsay Street site was subject of a compulsory acquisition by Launceston City Council to enable the completion of the Kings Wharf Levee by the Launceston Flood Authority and the subsequent strategic development of the North Bank Precinct along Lindsay Street, including the new river bend recreation park.
The old Lindsay Street site had been operated continuously as a batching plant since the late 1960’s.

The relocation site is located at 83-89 Gleadow Street, Invermay, TAS 7249. The project comprised the development of a 1.3 hectare (13,000m2) parcel of vacant industrial land to house Boral’s new concrete batch plant, state offices, testing laboratory and transport depot.
The new site enjoys good transport connectivity to the major trunk roads through Launceston and is located in a traditionally industrial area of the Launceston suburb of Invermay.
Please note - Mandatory PPE is required to attend this event.
