Overview

The talks by experienced practitioners will provide insights into the durability, corrosion failure and repair of concrete structures.  The seminar initially focuses on the current codes and best practice guidance available to assist with designing and constructing durable concrete structures. This is then demonstrated by looking at two high profile Queensland case studies, namely the duplicate Gateway Bridge and the Legacy Way Tunnel, each with an intended service life of at least 100 years. The second half of the seminar focuses on the materials available for use in the repair of concrete structures, and how the appropriate use of such materials can ensure the ongoing durability of corrosion-affected structures to meet serviceability expectations.

If you would like further details contact the Queensland Branch - Gayle on 0459 590 044 or [email protected].
