Tonight's  seminar brings together 3 leaders in the construction industry that have taken leaps forward in the integration of LEAN practice into their respective fields from ex-CEO of Fast Brick Robotics and Building Executive, Simon Amos, CEO and ED of PARKD Ltd Peter McUtchen and Associate Professor of Engineering, Andrew Whyte. They will provide an insight into how LEAN Construction Practice is now more accessible than ever before.
Simon Amos 

Simon has over 30 years of experience in the Building and Construction industry both locally in Australia and internationally. He has predominately worked in the Head Contracting environment and held senior management or director positions with companies such as John Holland Construction & Engineering, Leighton Contractors and Broad Group Holdings. He is a strong advocate of Lean Construction methodologies.
For the past two and a half years Simon has been working with Fastbrick Robotics (FBR Ltd) where he has been assisting in the development of their robotic technology and the use of parametric design principles to create a single source of data from the ‘desktop’ through to robotic construction on site.
Simon has a Master’s Degree in Business Administration specialising in Information Systems, is a Corporate member of the Institute of Engineering and Technology, a Chartered Building Engineer (UK), a Chartered Building Professional, a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Building and a Register Building Practitioner in WA. 

Dr Andrew Whyte  BSc   PhD   FICE   FIEAust   CPEng   NER

Having worked in industrial and academic environments in Europe and Asia-Pacific, Dr Andrew Whyte Curtin University Civil Engineering, has gained a wide-ranging knowledge of construction management, design team integration, whole-life assessment of structures, and asset development using local technologies, sustainable methods and low-cost means.

Peter McUtchen BEng MIE MAICD

Peter is the CEO and a Director of PARKD Ltd (ASX:PKD) which he co-founded in 2016 and listed on the ASX as a construction technology company in 2017. He has firsthand experience in the commercialisation of engineering and construction IP as the Inventor and Innovator behind Australia’s only modular and semi-permanent multi-level car park structural system, the PARKD Car Park System. Peter is considered a Subject Matter Expert in the fields of post tensioning design and construction along with modern methods of construction and LEAN Construction Practice.

Peter is the Immediate Past President of the West Australian branch of the Concrete Institute of Australia and founder of Perth’s largest construction networking association Construction Industry Drinks and Networking (CIDN).
