This webinar highlights the significance of achieving waterproof performance below and above ground in structures.

Luke Menefy (SMEC) - a specialist engineer experienced condition assessment of existing structures, remedial engineering, durability, concrete technology, expert witness/forensic investigations. Over his career Luke has been involved design, construction and ongoing integrity management of over 100 ageing water retaining structures where waterproofing and durability are often intwined challenges to overcome.

Ryan Young (Raw Worx) - As Managing Director for the contracting company Raw Worx, Ryan will present on the intensive requirements of a contractor pioneering within an emerging and lesser-known field of waterproofing and concrete repair.

Presentation 1: A durability perspective on watertight concrete structures

The presentation will provide insights of his experience and lessons learnt on newly built and remediation of existing liquid retaining structures. first principle and theory.

Presentation 2: A Contractors Guide to Bridge Deck Waterproofing

This presentation will look at the intensive requirements of a contractor pioneering within an emerging and lesser-known field of waterproofing and concrete repair. It will include what it takes to deliver unique solutions wherever is critical from surface preparation to asphalt bond coats.
 
Having recently completed the largest multi-structure Bridge Waterproofing project in Australia, The presenter will discuss all aspects of this system from the technical requirements, construction methodologies, quality assurance and practical experiences.
