Snowy Hydro will construct a 3.1 km tunnel and supporting infrastructure, as part of exploratory works for Snowy 2.0 approved by the NSW Government.

Construction has started on a new 74 metre-long wharf at the Rothera Research Station in Antarctica, along with deconstruction of the old wharf.

There are calls from diverse groups, including government bodies and environmental alliances, for an overhaul of planning policies and legislation at both state and national levels in Australia.

Development approval has been granted to Chevron Australia to build its new Australian HQ - a $360 million 30-storey tower at Elizabeth Quay in Perth.
