Overview

John takes the viewer through the concept of achieving strength through durability and towards achieving a very long service life. The concrete structure should be designed to withstand the chemical and physical effects that may affect its durability. The effort should focus on designing high performance concrete mixes that take advantage of the synergic, chemical interactions that can lead to better and more durable performance in real life exposure conditions.
